About Me

I am originally from Mexico City, and I moved to Vancouver 7 years ago. I have a Bachelors Degree in Sociology, and I worked as a researched assistant in Mexico. When I moved to Vancouver, I decided to change my career direction and I took a program called New Media Design and Web Development at BCIT (2019 -2021).

In this program, I learned about different methods and techniques to improve the user experience for a variety of online products and services. During my period as a student, as a part of my internship, I had the opportunity to work as a User Interface Designer.

Afterwards, I did another internship for 4 months in Digital Marketing which helped me to reinforce my knowledge and skills in UI Design, Information Architecture, UX Writing and Search Engine Optimization. Also, I have been working as a UI/UX Designer for a non-profit organization based in Vancouver.

In my everyday life, I like learning new things on a professional and personal level. Most of my free time, I spend it doing activities that bring me joy like indoor gardening, exercise, cooking Mexican food or watching a movie. (Yes, I’m a cinephile!).
